Engagement in Malcesine – Lake Garda
For a wedding photographer, Lake Garda is a real gift from the sky: miles of beach, a myriad of picturesque villages rich in history and tradition, an exceptional landscape that many envy us; For years, we dreamed of setting up an engagement photographic session in two of the most beautiful and special places of the Benaco, Campo di Brenzone and Malcesine.
The first is a tiny medieval village perched on the hills of Brenzone, abandoned and formed by a scattered grouping of stone houses, a castle and a small church. Despite the difficulties to reach it, it is perhaps one of the most spectacular spots on the Lake coast, between centuries-old olive trees and cypresses, from which you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Garda.
Malcesine, on the other hand, is one of the most well-known municipalities on the eastern shore of Lake Garda, at the feet of Mount Baldo.
We realized this couple’s service on a dreary June day, incredibly warm for that time of year. Filippo and Sara, the protagonists of the shooting, were wonderful; They went through the steep mule track that leads to Campo without ever complaining and they welcomed all of our ideas with enthusiasm… even when it was “knocking” the door of an abandoned home to shoot inside the ruins or take off their shoes and put their feet in the cold waters of the lake.
From Campo we moved to the historic center of Malcesine, along the narrow lanes leading to the harbor and stopping at us every time we saw an interesting glimpse.
